Topological momentum skyrmions in Mie scattering fields

open access: yesNanophotonics
How topologies play a role in light–matter interaction is of great interest in control and transfer of topologically-protected structures. These topological structures such as skyrmions and merons have not yet been found in canonical momentum fields ...

Polymer Coating Enabled Carrier Modulation for Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube Network Inverters and Antiambipolar Transistors

open access: yesNanomaterials
The control of the performance of single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) random network-based transistors is of critical importance for their applications in electronic devices, such as complementary metal oxide semiconducting (CMOS)-based logics.

Mixed‐class J‐domain protein scaffolds promote expanded aggregate handling and multivalent Hsp70 engagement during functional disaggregase assembly

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

A Comparative Study of Disruptive Behavior between Schools in Norway and the United States. A conceptual and empirical exploration of disruptive behavior in schools

open access: yes, 2017
This dissertation is concerned with how disruptive behavior appears in school. The study emphasizes the kinds of disruptive behavior that occur during class, and how it manifests itself in the classroom.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Continuous synthesis of high-entropy alloy nanoparticles by in-flight alloying of elemental metals

open access: yesNature Communications
High-entropy alloy (HEA) nanoparticles (NPs) exhibit unusual combinations of functional properties. However, their scalable synthesis remains a significant challenge requiring extreme fabrication conditions.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
