Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Dissociated vertical deviations.

open access: yesJAPANESE ORTHOPTIC JOURNAL, 1991
In summary, it is my belief that the etiology of a dissociated vertical deviation could possibly be a neuromuscular transmission block at the myoneural junction of the superior oblique. I further believe that surgery such as a tuck of the superior oblique would prevent elevation of the eye by serving as an anchor.

Dissociated Jerk Nystagmus Localizing to the Medial Longitudinal Fasciculus in MS

open access: yes, 2023
Vertical-torsional dissociated jerk nystagmus has been described in MLF lesions due to damage to input from the anterior and/or posterior semicircular canals and the utricle.

Magnetic resonance imaging in dissociated strabismus complex demonstrates generalized hypertrophy of rectus extraocular muscles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
BACKGROUND: Dissociated strabismus complex (DSC) is an enigmatic form of strabismus that includes dissociated vertical deviation (DVD) and dissociated horizontal deviation (DHD).

Fiber‐Based Wearable Electronics as Adaptive Biointerfaces for Healthcare Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fiber‐based wearable electronics have been extensively studied as adaptive healthcare biointerfaces. In this review, we classify and introduce fiber‐based systems according to biointerface design, conductive materials, transduction mechanisms, and healthcare applications, and provide a perspective on their translation toward reliable, continuous ...

Mathematical model of bursting in dissociated Purkinje neurons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In vitro, Purkinje cell behaviour is sometimes studied in a dissociated soma preparation in which the dendritic projection has been cleaved. A fraction of these dissociated somas spontaneously burst.

ABOUT MEASURING THE DEVIATION OF A BUILDING FROM THE VERTICAL AXIS USING AN ELECTRONIC TOTAL STATION

open access: yes, 2022
In the article, a new method of determining the deviation of the building from the vertical axis with an electronic tachyometer was considered. The formula for calculating the length of the vector of deviation of the building from the vertical axis and ...

A New Strategy for Creating Quantum Light Emitters Via Post‐Growth Hydrogen‐Ion Irradiation of III‐V Nanowires

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A post‐growth method is demonstrated to realize energy‐tunable quantum emitters in GaAs/GaAsN/GaAs core–multishell nanowires on a Si substrate. By combining the N‐induced bandgap reduction with H‐ion irradiation, the GaAsN potential landscape is engineered, enabling isolated, narrow emission lines that function as single‐photon sources with g(2)(0) ∼ 0.

Comparing Two Inferior Oblique Weakening Procedures: Disinsertion versus Myectomy

open access: yesJournal of Ophthalmic & Vision Research, 2021
Purpose: To compare two methods for treating inferior oblique overaction (IOOA): disinsertion versus myectomy of the muscle. Methods: In this prospective interventional case series, patients were randomly assigned to undergo either IO myectomy or ...

Stabilization of Strongly Reduced Fe(I) Single Atom Species Coordinated in a 2D Self‐Assembled Metal–Organic Network

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A graphene‐supported 2D metal–organic network stabilizes highly reactive Fe(I)‐N4 single sites through Co‐induced charge redistribution. Combined experiments and theory reveal Fe(I) formation, oxygen‐driven oxidation, and O2 activation mechanisms, offering a strategy to access low‐valent iron centers relevant to catalytic and biological processes ...
