Relationship between dissociative symptoms with insight in patients with schizophrenia
Objective: Dissociation is frequently associated with psychiatric illness, with a prevalence of up to25% among patients with a psychiatric disorder and a prevalence of up to 60% in cases of schizophrenia. There is a growing awareness of the relationship

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

The Influence of Serum and or DNase in Dissociation Medium on the Number and Viability of Giant Gouramy (Osphronemus gouramy Lac.) [PDF]
Dissociation is the first step to obtain a sufficient number of spermatogonia as donor cells for transplantation. Dissociation techniques is perfomed by mechanical and enzymatic methods to accelerate the separation of cells and tissue.

Bond dissociation energies of X–H bonds in proteins [PDF]
Knowledge of reliable X–H bond dissociation energies (X = C, N, O, S) for amino acids in proteins is key for studying the radical chemistry of proteins. X–H bond dissociation energies of model dipeptides were computed using the isodesmic reaction method ...

R-Matrix Calculation of Electron Collision with the BeO+ Molecular Ion
We report here an R-matrix study of electron collision with the BeO+ molecular ion in its X 2Π ground state and at a single bond length, namely its equilibrium Re=2.7023 a0.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...
