Suppression of low-energy dissociative electron attachment in Fe(CO)5 upon clustering [PDF]

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2017
In this work, we probe anion production upon electron interaction with Fe(CO)5 clusters using two complementary cluster-beam setups. We have identified two mechanisms that lead to synthesis of complex anions with mixed Fe/CO composition.

Electron beam induced deposition of silacyclohexane and dichlorosilacyclohexane: the role of dissociative ionization and dissociative electron attachment in the deposition process [PDF]

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2017
We present first experiments on electron beam induced deposition of silacyclohexane (SCH) and dichlorosilacyclohexane (DCSCH) under a focused high-energy electron beam (FEBID).

Dissociative electron attachment to gold(I)-based compounds: 4,5-dichloro-1,3-diethyl-imidazolylidene trifluoromethyl gold(I) [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2023
With the use of proton-NMR and powder XRD (XRPD) studies, the suitability of specific Au-focused electron beam induced deposition (FEBID) precursors has been investigated with low electron energy, structure, excited states and resonances, structural ...

A combined gas-phase dissociative ionization, dissociative electron attachment and deposition study on the potential FEBID precursor [Au(CH3)2Cl]2 [PDF]

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2023
Motivated by the potential of focused-electron-beam-induced deposition (FEBID) in the fabrication of functional gold nanostructures for application in plasmonic and detector technology, we conducted a comprehensive study on [Au(CH3)2Cl]2 as a potential ...

A Missing Puzzle in Dissociative Electron Attachment to Biomolecules: The Detection of Radicals

open access: yesAtoms, 2021
Ionizing radiation releases a flood of low-energy electrons that often causes the fragmentation of the molecular species it encounters. Special attention has been paid to the electrons’ contribution to DNA damage via the dissociative electron attachment (

Dissociative electron attachment to coordination complexes of chromium: chromium(0) hexacarbonyl and benzene-chromium(0) tricarbonyl [PDF]

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2017
Here we report the results of dissociative electron attachment (DEA) to gas-phase chromium(0) hexacarbonyl (Cr(CO)6) and benzene-chromium(0) tricarbonyl ((η6-C6H6)Cr(CO)3) in the energy range of 0–12 eV.

Dissociative Electron Attachment From Vibrationally Excited Molecules in Nanosecond Repetitively Pulsed CO Discharges and Afterglows [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2019
Non-equilibrium vibrational distributions and electron energy distributions of CO in nanosecond repetitively pulsed (NRP) discharges and afterglows have been determined from a coupled solution of the time dependent Boltzmann equation for the electron ...
