Dissociative attachment of electrons to F2
Applied Physics Letters, 1977By measuring the equilibrated sustainer current density in F2/N2 mixtures under controlled discharge conditions, we have determined the F2 dissociative attachment rate constant at various E/P conditions. The F2+e→F∓F rate constant at an average electron energy of 1.0 eV was found to be 2.3±0.3×10−9 cm3/molecule/sec and increased with decreasing ...

Dissociative electron attachment to CF2Cl2
Czechoslovak Journal of Physics, 1999Using a recently constructed high resolution crossed electron/molecular beam apparatus consisting of a hemispherical electron monochromator and a quadrupole mass spectrometer we have measured the relative production cross sections for CI– and F– via electron attachment to CF2Cl2.

Dissociative attachment of electrons in the chloromethanes
Chemical Physics Letters, 1990Abstract The yield of negative ions from CH 3 Cl, CH 2 Cl 2 , CHCl 3 and CCl 4 has been examined with electron beam methods. The relative cross sections at low electron energy vary by six orders of magnitude over this series, consistent with earlier swarm experiments, but at variance with other electron beam measurements.

Dissociative electron attachment to bromotrifluoromethane
International Journal of Mass Spectrometry, 2015Abstract Here we present a study on dissociative electron attachment (DEA) to bromotrifluoromethane, CF3Br, in the energy range from 0 to 10 eV. The dominating process observed is the formation of Br− close to 0 eV incident electron energy. The fragment ion Br− is also observed through a broad contribution from about 3 to 5 eV.

Dissociative attachment of an electron to a molecule
Uspekhi Fizicheskih Nauk, 1985A review is given of the present state of research into the dissociative attachment of an electron to a molecule, which is one of the principal mechanisms for negative-ion formation in electronegative-gas plasmas. A semiclassical model is used to analyze the basic characteristics of the process and their dependence on molecular parameters and the ...

Dissociative electron attachment to CHF2Cl
Chemical Physics Letters, 2003Abstract We present results of a crossed electron/molecule beams study concerning dissociative electron attachment (DEA) to CHF2Cl. This study was performed in the electron energy range from about 0–10 eV and at a gas temperature of 300 K. Four fragment negative ions (Cl−, F−, CClF− and CF2−) were observed.

Dissociative electron attachment to CO2
Czechoslovak Journal of Physics, 1998The 4.4 eV dissociative electron attachment peak in CO2 was reinvestigated paying particular attention to (i) its structure associated with vibrational excitation and to (ii) the temperature dependence of the onset. For this purpose we have used two specially designed crossed beams machines, one having a trochoidal electron analyzer (TEM) and one with ...

Dissociative attachment of electrons with Si2H6
International Journal of Mass Spectrometry and Ion Processes, 1991Cross-sections for the production of negative ion fragments by electron attachment to Si2H6 and ion pair formation from it have been measured by utilizing the crossed electron beam-molecular beam collision technique. The negative ions are mass-analyzed by employing a quadrupole mass spectrometer.

Dissociative attachment of electrons to F2
Applied Physics Letters, 1978The rate of dissociative attachment of electrons to F2 in mixtures with N2 and Ar has been measured over the electron mean energy range 0.9–4 eV. The results show that the rate is about 7×10−9 cm3/s at a mean energy of 1 eV, and decreases with increasing electron mean energy as (mean energy)−3/2.

Dissociative electron attachment to nitromethane
International Journal of Mass Spectrometry, 2008Abstract Dissociative electron attachment (DEA) measurements to nitromethane, CH3NO2, in the gas phase have been revisited by making use of a high mass-resolution sector field instrument. Anion efficiency curves for 16 negatively charged fragments have been measured in the electron energy region from about 0 to 16 eV with an energy resolution of ∼1 ...
