Dissociative electron attachment in the halogens.

1969
A trapped electron apparatus employing an R.P.D. electron gun has been built for electron impact studies of excitation and negative ion formation. It operates in the energy range from 0 to 25 eV with a resolution of 0.35 eV and a reproducibility of ± 0.17 eV. Preliminary studies of hydrogen indicate reproducible structure in the dissociative attachment

Doorway mechanism for dissociative electron attachment to fructose

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2007
Recently, the three sugars ribose, deoxyribose, and fructose have been shown to undergo dissociative electron attachment at threshold, that is, to fragment upon capture of a zero-energy electron. Here the electron acceptor properties of three fructose isomers are investigated in view of a doorway mechanism.
