Pressure and temperature dependence of dissociative and non-dissociative electron attachment to CF3: Experiments and kinetic modeling

open access: yes, 2011
The kinetics of electron attachment to CF3 as a function of temperature (300-600 K) and pressure (0.75-2.5 Torr) were studied by variable electron and neutral density attachment mass spectrometry exploiting dissociative electron attachment to CF3Br as a ...

Swelling‐Programmed Topographical Guidance for Dynamic Spheroid Self‐Assembly via a Mechanochemical Hydrogel Niche

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A swelling‐programmed micropatterned hydrogel guides adherent cells through a controlled transition from cell–matrix anchoring to cadherin‐mediated cell–cell compaction, enabling rapid assembly of high‐viability spheroids with defined size and morphology.

DISSOCIATIVE ATTACHMENT OF ELECTRONS TO C12

open access: yesActa Physica Sinica, 1982
Rate constants of electron-attachment to Cl2 in mixtures of Ar/Cl2 have been measured over the mean electron energy range 3-5 eV. The results show that electron-attachment rate constant is (3.2±0.4)×10-10cm3/sec at a mean energy of 3.5eV. The effect of variation of the mean electron energy has also been investigated. The experimental results agree very

Solvation Effects on Dissociative Electron Attachment to Thymine [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2019
Ionizing radiation can excite the cellular medium to produce secondary electrons that can subsequently cause damage to DNA. The damage is believed to occur via dissociative electron attachment (DEA). In DEA, the electron is captured by a molecule in a resonant antibonding state and a transient negative ion is formed.

Imaging the molecular dynamics of dissociative electron attachment to water [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Momentum imaging experiments on dissociative electron attachment to the water molecule are combined with ab initio theoretical calculations of the angular dependence of the quantum mechanical amplitude for electron attachment to provide a detailed ...

Dissociative electron attachment to dinitrogen pentoxide, N2O5

open access: yes, 2004
Electron attachment was studied in gaseous dinitrogen pentoxide, N2O5, for incident electron energies between a few meV and 10 eV. No stable parent anion N2O5- was observed but several anionic fragments (NO3-, NO2-, NO-, O-, and O-2(-)) were detected ...

Dissociative electron attachment to methyl isocyanide

open access: yes, 2021
We experimentally probed the dissociation of methyl isocyanide, CH$$_3$$NC, via low-energy electron attachment. We have measured the absolute dissociative electron attachment (DEA) cross section for each of the produced ions as a function of incident ...

Semiconducting Polymers Post‐Functionalized With Ureido‐Pyrimidinone for Robust Stretchable Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The design of intrinsically robust stretchable semiconducting polymers was achieved through OTBS‐mediated post‐functionalization of PDPP2T side chains with UPy units, generating dual hydrogen‐bonding motifs comprising weaker urethane linkages and strong quadruple UPy interactions along the long alkyl side chain, which is crucial for achieving desirable

Dynamics of dissociative electron attachment to aliphatic thiols

open access: yesPhysical Chemistry Chemical Physics
Dissociative electron attachment shows functional group-dependent site selectivity in H − ion channels in aliphatic thiols. It also results in energetic S − ions by a sequential dissociation, a reaction applicable to thiol-containing atmospheres.

Electron-induced ligand loss from iron tetracarbonyl methyl acrylate

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology
We probe the separation of ligands from iron tetracarbonyl methyl acrylate (Fe(CO)4(C4H6O2) or Fe(CO)4MA) induced by the interaction with free electrons.
