The dissolution of gold colloids in aqueous thiosulfate solutions

open access: yes, 2008
The kinetics of the dissolution of gold and silver colloids in ammoniacal thiosulfate solutions has been studied using oxygen, copper(II) or oxygenated copper(II) as oxidants at pH 9 - 11 and temperature 22oC to 48oC.

Effects of IGFBP4 deficiency on human preadipocyte proliferation and differentiation through the IGF1R/AKT pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
IGFBP4 knockdown (KD) impairs preadipocyte proliferation and is associated with IGF1R protein downregulation and attenuated AKT phosphorylation. The mechanisms by which IGFBP4 KD influences the IGF1R/AKT signaling pathway involve newly synthesized proteins and lysosomal degradation pathways. Created in BioRender.

Difference in the Dissolution Behaviors of Tablets Containing Polyvinylpolypyrrolidone (PVPP) Depending on Pharmaceutical Formulation After Storage Under High Temperature and Humid Conditions

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2016
PURPOSE. Storage under high temperature and humid conditions has been reported to decrease the dissolution rate for some kinds of tablets containing polyvinylpolypyrrolidone (PVPP) as a disintegrant.

ALDOA Promotes Glycolysis and NLRP3/GSDMD Pyroptosis to Accelerate ALS Progression

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Glycolytic dysregulation is implicated in disease progression, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigates how Aldolase A (ALDOA) drives ALS progression through glycolysis‐mediated motor neuron pyroptosis.

Experimental study on dissolution characteristics of gypsum intercalations in red layers under still and flowing water conditions

open access: yesCarsologica Sinica
Gypsum intercalations with uneven thicknesses are widely distributed within sand and mudstone in red layers of the Sichuan Basin. In the process of groundwater infiltration or erosion, these gypsum intercalations inevitably undergo dissolution reactions,

The rate of dissolution of powdered griseofulvin at different stirring rates

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, 1969
AbstractThe non-ionic surfactant, cetomacrogol, increased the rate of solution of powdered griseofulvin in water. At a stirring rate of 200 rev/min, the increase was similar to that found previously for solid discs of this drug. At 60 rev/min, the surfactant had a smaller effect on the rate of solution.
