Toward Pore‐Engineered 3D‐Printed Materials for Sorption Water Harvesting, Interfacial Evaporation, and Radiative Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Water harvesting, radiative cooling, and interfacial solar evaporation are fundamentally governed by coupled heat, mass, and light transport processes. These processes are mediated by pore architecture, including pore size, connectivity, and hierarchical organization.

Trends in Marital Dissolution by Women's Education in the United States [PDF]

open access: yes
I use the Survey of Income and Program Participation (N = 16,452) to measure trends in marital dissolution rates for U.S. women by education level. In marriage cohorts from the mid-1970s to the 1990s, marital dissolution rates fell among women with a 4 ...

Thermodynamic framework for assessing dissolutive wetting behaviors in metallic systems

open access: yesNature Communications
Abstract Despite its significance in practical applications, until today dissolutive wetting in metallic systems remains poorly understood due to the intricate liquid/solid interactions. In this study, we investigate nine metallic systems encompassing a vast range of thermodynamic behaviors.

Regulating Phase Evolution and Crystallization Dynamics Enables Low Open‐Circuit Voltage Deficit in Wide‐Bandgap Cu2ZnSnS4 Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bilayer composition‐modulated sulfurization (BCMS) regulates Cu redistribution in solution‐processed Cu2ZnSnS4, suppressing Cu2SnS3 and favoring the direct transformation pathway, while transforming the crystallization from surface‐dominated growth to a more synchronized process.

Production of Co-Siderophore Complexes by Ligand-Promoted Dissolution

open access: yes, 2009
Recent research indicates that siderophores, a class of biogenic ligands with known exceptional affinity for Fe(III), can also strongly complex Co(III), an element essential to normal metabolic function of microbes and animals.

Elasticity‐Driven Periodic Polarization Patterns in a Chiral Ferroelectric Nematic Fluid

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Chiral polar ferroelectric nematic fluids exhibit spontaneous formation of stripe, square, and hexagonal polarization textures under confinement. Controlled by thickness and anchoring, these patterns produce spatially modulated nonlinear optical responses.
