A Reviewed Turn at of Methods for Determining the Type of Fault in Power Transformers Based on Dissolved Gas Analysis

open access: yesEnergies
Since power transformers are the most important pieces of equipment in electricity transmission and distribution systems, special attention must be paid to their maintenance in order to keep them in good condition for a long time.

Electrochemical Behavior of Flame‐Sprayed Sc‐Doped AlCoCrFeMo High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings in 3.5% Sodium Chloride Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

A comprehensive analysis for wind turbine transformer and its limits in the dissolved gas evaluation

open access: yesHeliyon
This study employs the PRISMA-A methodology to conduct a systematic review of transformer fault diagnostics using Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) data. A comprehensive analysis was performed across four major databases—IEEE, Scopus, ScienceDirect (Elsevier),

Hybrid Dissolved Gas-in-Oil Analysis Methods

open access: yesJournal of Power and Energy Engineering, 2015
Dissolved gas analysis is the most widely used diagnostic test in power transformers. The aim of this paper is to introduce the dissolved gas analysis (DGA) methods able to diagnose the transformer conditions. The faults cause the transformer oil, pressboard, and other insulating materials to decompose and generate gases, some of which dissolve in the ...

Experimental Characterization and Constitutive Modeling of the Effect of Prior Inelastic Strain on the Viscoplastic Behavior of AD730 at 700 °C

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows that superalloys used in aircraft engine disks become much more prone to deformation at high temperatures if they have been strained during manufacturing. This effect increases with the level of prior strain but eventually reaches a limit.

Fault diagnosis method for transformers based on feature selection of dissolved gas in oil

open access: yes电力工程技术
Dissolved gas analysis is important for the early warning and diagnosis of transformer faults. Aiming at the problems of numerous types of features for dissolved gas in oil and the insufficient analysis of fault associated features, a new fault diagnosis

Where to perform the dissolved gas analysis?

open access: yesTransformers Magazine, 2022
All the readers of Transformers Magazine and attendees of Transformer Academy already realize that DGA is one of the most comprehensive tests for oil-filled electrical devices. Also, readers well understand the complexity of these tests. This aspect is emphasized by all DGA standards, guides, and ample literature and research on DGA methodology.

Where to perform the dissolved gas analysis? - Part II

open access: yesTransformers Magazine, 2022
In the first part of the column, we presented the advantages of performing DGA analysis in an in-house laboratory. However, nowadays, most of the DGA and insulating tests are performed in an outsourced external laboratory, usually in another country and even continent.

Active Corrosion Protection of Sintered AA7075 Aluminum Alloy via Mn Powder Addition

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
AA7075 containing Mn‐rich particles is fabricated via spark plasma sintering using AA7075 and Mn powders. Corrosion resistance is evaluated through dip‐and‐dry tests using 0.1 M NaCl (pH 6.0), and mass loss decreases with increasing Mn addition. Mn‐rich particles function as a source of Mn ions, and formation of Mn‐accumulation films on Cu‐containing ...
