Distal Biologic Cap for Impending Distal Erosion
Abstract Introduction Management for distal impending erosion can be difficult and has been previously managed with counter incisions which can lead to unsightly scars and increased infection risk. Aim To demonstrate a novel technique

ABSTRACT Background Osteosarcoma (OS) and Ewing sarcoma (EWS) are the most common primary bone cancers in children, but acute thrombosis is poorly characterized in this population. Our study evaluated the rates of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and associated risk factors in pediatric patients with bone sarcomas treated over a 10‐year period encompassing

Distal clavicular fracture treatment with suture anchor method
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the results of the suture anchor fixation in the treatment of distal clavicle fractures. Methods: This cross series study included 43 patients (27 males, 12 females; mean age: 40.1±10.18 years) with type ...

Distal and non-distal NIP theories
We study one way in which stable phenomena can exist in an NIP theory. We start by defining a notion of 'pure instability' that we call 'distality' in which no such phenomenon occurs. O-minimal theories and the p-adics for example are distal. Next, we try to understand what happens when distality fails.

ABSTRACT Background Chronic limb‐threatening ischemia (CLTI) is a severe form of lower‐extremity artery disease characterized by distal lesions and microcirculatory impairment, limiting revascularization efficacy. Rheocarna is a direct hemoperfusion low‐density lipoprotein (LDL) adsorption device with potential rheological and anti‐inflammatory ...

The ground beetle Pseudoophonus rufipes gut microbiome is influenced by the farm management system
Intensive conventional farm management, characterized by high agrochemicals input, could alter the composition of microbial communities with potential negative effects on both functional traits and the ecosystem services provided.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Tratamiento endovascular de la aorta torácica mediante endoprótesis con escotadura distal [PDF]
[eng] “ENDOVASCULAR TREATMENT OF THORACIC AORTA WITH SCALLOPED THORACIC ENDOGRAFTS” Endovascular treatment of thoracic aortic disease (ETTAD) is often the only option for patients unfit for open surgery.
