Absolute distance measurement by chirped pulse interferometry using a femtosecond pulse laser.

open access: yesOptics Express, 2015
We propose here a method for absolute distance measurement by chirped pulse interferometry using frequency comb. The principle is introduced, and the distance can be measured via the shift of the widest fringe.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Pulse-to-pulse alignment based on interference fringes and the second-order temporal coherence function of optical frequency combs for distance measurement.

open access: yesOptics Express, 2015
A pulse-to-pulse alignment method based on interference fringes and the second-order temporal coherence function of optical frequency combs is proposed for absolute distance measurement.

Indoor Inter-Robot Distance Measurement in Collaborative Systems

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2010
This paper focuses on the problem of autonomous distance calculation between multiple mobile robots in collaborative systems. We propose and discuss two distinct methods, specifically developed under important design and functional constraints, such as

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

A Robust Methodology for Dynamic Proximity Sensing of Vehicles Overtaking Micromobility Devices in a Noisy Environment

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The safety of cyclists, e-scooters, and micromobility devices in urban environments remains a critical concern in sustainable urban planning. A primary factor affecting this safety is the lateral passing distance (LPD) or dynamic proximity of motor ...

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

Absolute distance measurement in a combined-dispersive interferometer using a femtosecond pulse laser

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, a ranging system using dispersive interferometry is developed with a femtosecond pulse laser, aiming to eliminate the measurement dead zones by using a greatly unbalanced Mach–Zehnder interferometer.

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...
