Contact Force Estimation of Continuum Robots without Embedded Sensors: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This review surveys methods for estimating contact forces in continuum robots without embedded sensors. It explains why contact force matters, classifies force patterns, and groups existing methods into three approaches based on actuation, deformation, and environment information.

Human‐Machine Mutual Trust Based Shared Control Framework for Intelligent Vehicles

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This work introduces a bidirectional‐trust‐driven shared control framework for human‐machine co‐driving. The method models human‐to‐machine trust from intention discrepancies and Bayesian skill assessment, and machine‐to‐human trust from integrated ability evaluation.

Load Transfer during Magnetic Mucoperiosteal Distraction in Newborns with Complete Unilateral and Bilateral Orofacial Clefts: A Three-Dimensional Finite Element Analysis

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
The primary correction of congenital complete unilateral cleft lip and palate (UCLP) and bilateral cleft lip and palate (BCLP) is challenging due to inherent lack of palatal tissue and small extent of the palatal shelves at birth.

Artificial Intelligence in Autonomous Mobile Robot Navigation: From Classical Approaches to Intelligent Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping autonomous mobile robot navigation beyond classical pipelines. This review analyzes how AI techniques are integrated into core navigation tasks, including path planning and control, localization and mapping, perception, and context‐aware decision‐making. Learning‐based, probabilistic, and soft‐computing methods

RT‐DETR‐DA for Complex Scenes: Distracted Driving Detection With Feature Interaction and Dynamic Perception

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This work proposes RT‐DETR‐DA, an enhanced real‐time detection framework for identifying distracted driving in complex, real‐world environments. The model introduces a dynamic sparse gating multiscale attention module and an attention‐guided dual‐path fusion module to strengthen multiscale perception and cross‐layer feature interaction.

Impaired regulation of emotion: Neural correlates of reappraisal and distraction in bipolar disorder and unaffected relatives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Deficient emotion regulation has been proposed as a crucial pathological mechanism in bipolar disorder (BD). We therefore investigated emotion regulation impairments in BD, the related neural underpinnings and their etiological relevance for the disorder.

Parents' WhatsApp coping resources in the context of ongoing political conflicts: An ecological exploration

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Community Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Mobile technologies have become significant resources for crisis communication and social support in recent years. However, despite empirical evidence pointing to the centrality of these technologies for parenthood in everyday life, it is yet unknown how parents' coping resources play a role in the digital environment.
