Optofluidic Distributed Feedback Dye Lasers [PDF]
IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics, 2007 We review our recent work on poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS)-based optofluidic dye lasers using a guided wave distributed feedback (DFB) cavity. We show experimental results of single-mode operation, an integrated laser array, multiple color dye lasing, mechanical and fluidic tuning, and monolithic integration with microfluidic circuits.

Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Physics Reports, 2014 The concept of random lasers making use of multiple scattering in amplifying disordered media to generate coherent light has attracted a great deal of attention in recent years. Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Pharmacological chromatin remodeling enhances response to estrogen therapy in ER+ breast cancer
Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Estrogen therapy elicits clinical benefit in ~ 30% of patients with endocrine‐resistant estrogen receptor (ER)‐positive breast cancer. Based on findings that ER transcriptional activation underlies response to estrogen therapy, we tested the effects of epigenetic dysregulation via pharmacological inhibition of histone deacetylases (HDACi).
