Frequency regulation market participation of distributed energy storage systems
To promote the effective participation of distributed energy storage systems (DESSs) in the frequency regulation (FR) market, a complete framework for distributed energy storage aggregation service providers (DSAPs) to fully incentivize the DESSs to ...

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Optimal Control Based Energy Management of Multiple Energy Storage Systems in a Microgrid
Microgrid is envisioned to be an effective framework to integrate distributed generations, energy storage systems, and various loads. As an important form of distributed generation, renewable generation may change rapidly and frequently, which poses ...

CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

An Optimal Recovery Approach for Liberation Codes in Distributed Storage Systems
To reduce the storage cost, distributed storage systems are gradually using erasure codes to ensure data reliability. Liberation codes, which satisfy the maximum distance separable (MDS) property and provide optimal modification overhead, are a class of ...

Live Forensics for Distributed Storage Systems
We present Kaleidoscope an innovative system that supports live forensics for application performance problems caused by either individual component failures or resource contention issues in large-scale distributed storage systems. The design of Kaleidoscope is driven by our study of I/O failures observed in a peta-scale storage system anonymized as ...

Distributed Hierarchical File Systems strike back in the Cloud
Cloud service providers have aligned on availability zones as an important unit of failure and replication for storage systems. An availability zone (AZ) has independent power, networking, and cooling systems and consists of one or more data centers ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Repair for distributed storage systems with erasure channels [PDF]
We study the repair problem of distributed storage systems in erasure networks where the packets transmitted from surviving nodes to the new node might be lost. The fundamental storage-bandwidth tradeoff is calculated by multicasting analysis in erasure networks. The optimal tradeoff bound can be asymptotically achieved when the number of transmission (
