Distributed training for accelerating metalearning algorithms

Proceedings of the International Workshop on Big Data in Emergent Distributed Environments, 2021
The lack of large amounts of training data diminishes the power of deep learning to train models with a high accuracy. Few shot learning (i.e. learning using few data samples) is implemented by Meta-learning, a learn to learn approach. Most gradient based metalearning approaches are hierarchical in nature and computationally expensive.

Training in Distribution

Retail and Distribution Management, 1976
The problem of how to assess the value of training in terms of its effects on turnover and profitability is not a new one for retail management. Certain specific consequences—declining staff turnover, absenteeism, and accident rates—are relatively easily quantifiable. Reduction in customer complaints can also be recorded.

DRUG DISTRIBUTION IN THE TRAINING ROOM

Clinics in Sports Medicine, 1998
Individuals providing medications for athletes have a responsibility to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care while meeting both legal and ethical requirements. Pharmacotherapy monitoring and patient counseling about prescription drugs are recent additions to legal requirements in most states.

Training and distribution of neurologists worldwide

Journal of the Neurological Sciences, 2002
Information about the global distribution, number, and training of neurologists and other neuro-specialists is vital for the planning of prevention, care, and treatment of disorders of the nervous system, which are a major cause of death and disability worldwide.

Parallel and Distributed Structured SVM Training

IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, 2022
Structured Support Vector Machines (structured SVMs) are a fundamental machine learning algorithm, and have solid theoretical foundation and high effectiveness in applications such as natural language parsing and computer vision. However, training structured SVMs is very time-consuming, due to the large number of constraints and inferior convergence ...

Symposium on Distributed Simulation for Military Training of Teams/Groups: A Case Study of Distributed Training and Training Performance

Proceedings of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Annual Meeting, 1995
This paper describes the first actual application of a distributed training network to the military mission called Close Air Support (CAS). It represents a “case study” and is based upon a set of data collected on military personnel during a one-week series of exercises in a distributed training environment.
