Percolation transition in networks with degree-degree correlation

open access: yes, 2007
We introduce an exponential random graph model for networks with a fixed degree distribution and with a tunable degree-degree correlation. We then investigate the nature of a percolation transition in the correlated network with the Poisson degree ...

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

A Generalized SOC-OCV Model for Lithium-Ion Batteries and the SOC Estimation for LNMCO Battery

open access: yesEnergies, 2016
A state-of-charge (SOC) versus open-circuit-voltage (OCV) model developed for batteries should preferably be simple, especially for real-time SOC estimation.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

A Novel State of Charge Estimation Method Based on Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy for Solid-State Batteries of Next-Generation Space Power Sources under Different States of Health

open access: yesSpace: Science & Technology
With the increasing demand for battery energy density and safety, solid-state batteries are expected to become one of the ideal energy storage devices. Aiming at compensating for the research lack of modeling and state estimation of solid-state batteries,

Research on Configuration Methods of Battery Energy Storage System for Pure Electric Bus Fast Charging Station

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
With the pervasiveness of electric vehicles and an increased demand for fast charging, stationary high-power fast-charging is becoming more widespread, especially for the purpose of serving pure electric buses (PEBs) with large-capacity onboard batteries.

Unsupervised Training for 3D Morphable Model Regression

open access: yes, 2018
We present a method for training a regression network from image pixels to 3D morphable model coordinates using only unlabeled photographs. The training loss is based on features from a facial recognition network, computed on-the-fly by rendering the ...

The entropy of randomized network ensembles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Randomized network ensembles are the null models of real networks and are extensivelly used to compare a real system to a null hypothesis. In this paper we study network ensembles with the same degree distribution, the same degree-correlations or the ...
