Interval State Estimation of Distribution Network With Power Flow Constraint

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Currently, distribution network is faced with many problems, e.g., low automation coverage and less data acquisition. There are also lots of challenges in state estimation, such as imprecise approximation of network parameters and measurement devices as ...

Crucial parameters for precise copy number variation detection in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded solid cancer samples

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that copy number variations (CNVs) can be reliably detected in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) solid cancer samples using ultra‐low‐pass whole‐genome sequencing, provided that key (pre)‐analytical parameters are optimized.

Impact of Data Quality in Home Energy Management System on Distribution System State Estimation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
As the coupling between home energy management system (HEMS) and distribution system state estimation (DSSE) becomes stronger for smart distribution grid operations, unexpected HEMS data change can, through the distortion of the HEMS solution ...

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

State estimation in electrical distribution systems

open access: yes, 2015
The changes occurring in electrical systems, due to technical and economic reasons, and the requirements of a reliable and efficient delivery of the power supply to the customers demand a smarter management of the current grids at all the levels. In particular, the distribution level, until now managed without a detailed monitoring of its operating ...

State estimation for large power distribution systems

open access: yesRE&PQJ, 2019
This article presents the modifications and improvements that have been included over the classic formulation of the state estimation to be able to run in real networks with large power distribution systems. Improvements include a new penalty term that keeps bus consumption or power generation within an allowed band and the inclusion of dynamic ...

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

RaMBat: Accurate identification of medulloblastoma subtypes from diverse data sources with severe batch effects

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.
