Application of electro-optic modulation technique for PD monitoring of power transformers
Partial discharge (PD) detection is an important technique for assessing the health of high voltage power transformers. A partial discharge signal within an oil-filled power transformer may reach a winding first, then travel along the winding to the ...

Smart Distribution Transformer for Smart Grid [PDF]
In this thesis, a smart distribution transformer which improves power quality in the electrical power distribution grid is discussed. The proposed system is comprised of an existing line frequency (LF) distribution transformer connected to a power ...

Weakening the nuclear envelope: Lamin B receptor in melanoma metastasis
LBR‐driven nuclear fragility supports melanoma invasion. A: Melanocyte presents low LBR (Lamin B Receptor) levels, maintaining nuclear integrity and lamina‐chromatin tethering. B: During malignant progression, upregulation of LBR clusters at the INM (Inner Nuclear Membrane) during confined migration causes local lamina weakening and cholesterol ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Distribution transformer model for transient studies
Distribution transformers are expensive components in the distribution network of the country. Records from Ceylon Electricity Board show that considerable numbers of failures of these distribution transformers are due to lightning surges.

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Research on additional damping control strategy of flexible distribution transformer
Disturbances to the power system may lead to relative swing between synchronous generator rotors, causing low-frequency oscillation problems in the absence of damping.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...
