In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

On the Non-Existence of Injective Near-Ring Modules
Associated with any near-ring R, and any set S of distributive elements of R, one has a natural notion of S-distributive R-modules, analogous to that of modules over rings and including the latter as special case (Frohlich [6]; we recall the details in ...

Strongly (Comletely) Hollow Submodules I
Let R be a commutative ring with unity and let M be an R-module. In this paper we study strongly (completely) hollow submodules and quasi-hollow submodules.

Membrane Shape Modulates Transmembrane Protein Distribution [PDF]
Although membrane shape varies greatly throughout the cell, the contribution of membrane curvature to transmembrane protein targeting is unknown because of the numerous sorting mechanisms that take place concurrently in cells. To isolate the effect of membrane shape, we used cell-sized giant unilamellar vesicles (GUVs) containing either the potassium ...

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

REPRESENTATIONS OF CROSSED MODULES AND OTHER GENERALIZED YETTER-DRINFEL'D MODULES
International audienceThe Yang-Baxter equation plays a fundamental role in various areas of mathematics. Its solutions, called braidings, are built, among others, from Yetter-Drinfel'd modules over a Hopf algebra, from self-distributive structures, and ...

Face number inequalities for matroid complexes and Cohen‐Macaulay types of Stanley‐Reisner rings of distributive lattices [PDF]
We discuss two topics related with combinatorial study of canonical modules of Stanley-Reisner rings, viz., (i) some linear Inequalities on the number of faces of a matrold compleH and (ii) a formula to compute the Cohen-Macaulay type of the Stanley ...
