Compensation of motor torque disturbances in industrial robots

Proceedings. 1998 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (Cat. No.98CH36146), 2002
Permanent magnet AC motors generate parasitic torque pulsations, owing to several electromagnetic phenomena. Excitation of the mechanical resonances on the load side is generally the worst consequence of these disturbances. Speed oscillations arise which may dramatically limit the performances in high precision applications.

Nonlinear regulator with disturbance compensation

Optoelectronics, Instrumentation and Data Processing, 2015
The problem of generalizing the method of analytical construction of aggregated regulators to the case of controlling a poorly formalized object on manifolds under the condition of uncertainty is considered. A comparative overview of the conditions of applicability of two methods for the control on manifolds is given, and the property of robustness of ...

Adaptive Feedforward Compensation of Disturbances

2011
Adaptive feedforward broadband vibration (or noise) compensation is currently used when an image (a correlated measurement) of the disturbance is available. However, in most of the systems there is a “positive” feedback coupling, between the compensator system and the measurement of the image of the disturbances, which cannot be ignored.

Identification and compensation of disturbance for real-world haptics

2012 12th IEEE International Workshop on Advanced Motion Control (AMC), 2012
Recently, the real-world haptics which deals with real-world tactile sense has been actively researched. In the real-world haptics, tactile information is dealt with by an actuator as a disturbance force. Therefore, the effect of other kinds of disturbance such as friction in an actuator should be minimized to extract clearer tactile information.

Respiratory Compensation to Metabolic Acid-Base Disturbances

Scandinavian Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigation, 1970
The degree of respiratory compensation to metabolic acid-base disturbances in a series of patients at the University Hospital, Lund was studied. As there was no statistical significance between the compensation lines for metabolic acidosis and for metabolic alkalosis, one single compensation line for metabolic disturbances could be drawn.

Force feedback teleoperation with periodical disturbance compensation

2011 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2011
In this paper a bilateral teleoperation scheme is proposed to compensate force perturbations due to repetitive motions of the environment. Based on a Repetitive-Generalized Predictive Controller (R-GPC), it allows to reject periodical disturbances as those generated by respiration motion under breathing apparatus while in contact with the environment ...

Disturbance compensation and step optimization for push recovery

2016 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS), 2016
To operate in human environments, robots must be able to withstand external disturbances. Small disturbances can be stabilized through momentum regulation, but larger ones require steps to prevent falling. This work presents two new techniques for disturbance rejection.

Compensating for a multisinusoidal disturbance based on Youla–Kucera parametrization

Automation and Remote Control, 2017
We consider the problem of compensation for a multisinusoidal disturbance for alinear stationary system with a given nominal control law. We consider the general structureof a controller that lets one use arbitrary algorithms for identification of disturbance parameters satisfying certain assumptions.

Robust Adaptive Compensation of Periodic Disturbances With Unknown Frequency

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2013
An indirect adaptive output feedback compensator is designed to attenuate the effects of periodic disturbances with unknown frequency on a known stable linear system with no zeros on the imaginary axis. The compensator contains an adaptive internal model which rejects a fixed number of harmonics in the Fourier series expansion of the periodic ...
