Two-dimensional disturbance decoupled observersâ€
International Journal of Systems Science, 1987A procedure is developed for the design of a minimal-order observer capable of estimating the states of a two-dimensional system in the presence of unknown inputs. This is done using singular-value decomposition. The assignment of eigenvalues to the observer is facilitated by choosing the observer structure.

Observer-based inverter disturbance compensation
2009 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition, 2009Most inverter disturbance compensation methods are based on open-loop inverter disturbance estimation. Because of measurement error and switching device parameter uncertainties, the inverter disturbance is not always compensated well. This paper proposes a closed-loop voltage disturbance observer and an observer-based inverter disturbance compensation ...

Robot control with disturbance observers
Fifth International Conference on Advanced Robotics 'Robots in Unstructured Environments, 1991A control system consisting of a bank of single input single output controllers and disturbance observers is proposed for the positional control of multidegree of freedom manipulators. Stability of this control system is analysed and relationships between the manipulator characteristics, the closed-loop bandwidths and bounds on the stability region are

Observation of travelling interplanetary disturbances
Advances in Space Research, 2002Abstract A travelling interplanetary disturbance (IPD) was detected by the four station interplanetary scintillation (IPS) system of the Nagoya University on October 21, 1995 which has good time agreement with an energetic proton flare on the Sun (>20 Mev) on October 20, associated with AR 7912.

Disturbance Rejection Through Disturbance Observer With Adaptive Frequency Estimation
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2009In this paper, a new adaptive disturbance rejection scheme is introduced. In the proposed scheme, adaptive frequency estimation technique is incorporated into the traditional disturbance observer method. The frequency of the dominant disturbance is estimated online by a fast stable adaptive algorithm, and the estimated frequency is used to adaptively ...

Yohkoh Observations and Interplanetary Disturbances
1998Interplanetary disturbances during the five-year Yohkoh era are reviewed. Coronal holes have been observed by Yohkoh as source of recurrent disturbances. They have changed their size and latitudinal distribution according to decrease of solar activity. Large-scale coronal disturbances (LCDs) have been observed in association with coronal mass ejections,
