Drive induced torque disturbances in brushless rate servos
Conference Record of the 1990 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2002The torque disturbances caused by imperfections in a permanent magnet brushless sinusoidal motor and sinusoidal power amplifier are discussed, and the major sources of disturbances are quantified. Brushless rate servos are shown to contain many new sources of torque disturbances, in addition to the disturbances produced by brush type rate servos.

Transient damping torques in synchronous machines during disturbances
Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1969During power-system disturbances, the relative speed between the resultant flux and the rotor causes eddy currents to be induced in the rotor iron structure and an induction-motor or induction-generator torque to be developed owing to the amortisseur winding; both these effects damp out the synchronousmachine oscillations.

Reducing Disturbances Caused by Reductions in Regenerative Brake Torque
SAE Technical Paper Series, 2011<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">This paper presents a method to reduce the number of occurrences of vehicle deceleration disturbances due to the reduction of regenerative braking in the presence of wheel slip. Usually, regenerative braking is disabled when wheel slip is detected in order to allow the ABS system

Torque disturbances and their effect on process control
Proceedings of 5th International Conference on Power Electronics and Variable-Speed Drives, 1994The paper seeks to demonstrate the deleterious effects that torque disturbances can have on an industrial process where close control of speed is required to maintain product quality. The paper also highlights the type of disturbance arising from driven equipment as well as those generated from a variety of different types of drive used for variable ...

Disturbance torque compensated speed observer for digital servo drives
[Proceedings] IECON '90: 16th Annual Conference of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2002A speed observer for digital servo drives is proposed. The observer is composed of an inverse system calculation and a minimal-order state observer The inverse system calculates disturbance torque directly and the state observer performs an instantaneous speed estimation using the calculated disturbance torque. Characteristics of the disturbance torque

Electromyographic response to pseudo-random torque disturbances of human forearm position
Neuroscience, 1978Abstract Pseudo-random torque disturbances applied to the human forearm permitted the identification of linear relationships between motion and biceps/triceps electromyographic activity. In particular, a weighted sum of position, velocity and acceleration provided an adequate description of electromyographic activity over a large range of disturbance

Tracking control of time-varying knee exoskeleton disturbed by interaction torque
ISA Transactions, 2017Knee exoskeletons have been increasingly applied as assistive devices to help lower-extremity impaired people to make their knee joints move through providing external movement compensation. Tracking control of knee exoskeletons guided by human intentions often encounters time-varying (time-dependent) issues and the disturbance interaction torque ...

Nonlinear attitude control of flexible spacecraft under disturbance torque
Acta Astronautica, 1986Summary: We present a control law for large-angle single-axis rotational maneuvers of a spacecraft-beam-tip body (an antenna or a reflector) configuration. It is assumed that an unknown but bounded disturbance torque is acting on the spacecraft. A model reference adaptive torque control law is derived for the slewing of the space vehicle.

Anti-disturbance Control of SPMSM with Load Torque Feedforward Compensation
2018 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation (ICMA), 2018This paper presents a load torque feedforward compensation control strategy for smooth control of Surface Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (SPMSM). The Kalman Filter is constructed to achieve a precise estimation of the speed and load torque with the mechanical kinematics equations of the motor which requires less motor parameters.

On electrodynamical compensation of a torque disturbing satellite orientation
2015 International Conference "Stability and Control Processes" in Memory of V.I. Zubov (SCP), 2015A satellite with electrodynamic attitude control system is considered. The problem of compensation of an external disturbing torque is solved. The optimization of control process in vicinity of programmed motion is achieved on the basis of control system without involving additional measuring devices.
