DITERPENES AND DITERPENE ESTERS IN COFFEE
Food Reviews International, 2001Coffee oil contains pentacyclic diterpenes as typical lipid constituents which have not been detected in any other foods. Major representatives are 16-O-methylcafestol, cafestol, and kahweol. Cafestol is contained in Arabica as well as in Robusta coffee. 16-O-Methylcafestol is found only in Robusta coffee.

Marine diterpene glycosides (MDGs) respresent a small but highly significant group of the much larger class of marine diterpenes. The three well-studied examples of MDGs are eleutherobins, pseudopterosins and fuscosides, all of which exhibit extremely promising biological activity.

Cembranoid diterpenes and a briarane diterpene from corals
Natural Product Research, 2006Two new cembrane diterpenes (+)-polydactylide (1) and (+)-7alpha,8beta-dihydroxydeepoxysarcophine (2) together with (+)-sarcophine (3) and (+)-sarcophytoxide (4) have been isolated from the soft coral Sinularia polydactyla. The new cembrane diterpene (-)-7beta-hydroxy-8alpha-methoxydeepoxysarcophine (5) has been obtained from the soft coral Sarcophyton

Diterpene and diterpene glycosides from Rabdosia eriocalyx
Phytochemistry, 1989Abstract An ent -kaurene diterpenoid, maoecrystal K, and its β-glucopyranoside, rabdoside 1, as well as a minor diterpene glycoside, rabdoside 2 were isolated from Rabdosia eriocalyx . The structures of the three compounds were determined by their spectral properties and chemical transformations.

Diterpenes and diterpene xylosides from Conyza trihecatactis
Phytochemistry, 1993Abstract From the leaves of Conyza trihecatactis we have isolated the labdane-type diterpenes and diterpene xylosides ent-sclareol, ent-3β-hydroxymanool, ent-manool 13-O-β- d -xylopyranoside and ent-sclareol 13-O-β- d -xylopyranoside. Structure elucidation was achieved by spectroscopic methods.

Bacterial Diterpene Biosynthesis
Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2019AbstractThis Minireview summarises recent developments in the biosynthesis of diterpenes by diterpene synthases in bacteria. It is structured by the class of enzyme involved in the first committed step towards diterpenes, starting with type I diterpene synthases, followed by type II enzymes and the more recently discovered UbiA‐related diterpene ...

Diterpenes from Grangea maderaspatana
Phytochemistry, 2016Phytochemical investigation of the ethanolic extract of Grangea maderaspatana led to isolation of gramaderins A-D, together with thirteen known compounds. All isolates were assayed for their anti-inflammatory activities. Consequently, 5,7-dihydroxy-3,6,3',4',5'-pentamethoxyflavone and 5,3'-dihydroxy-3,6,7,4',5'-pentamethoxyflavone showed significant ...

Diterpenes from Solidago rugosa
Phytochemistry, 1995Investigation of the roots and aerial parts of Solidago rugosa afforded the known diterpenes kolavenol, hardwickiic acid, (-)-kaur-16-en-19-oic acid, (+)-manool, (+)-3 beta-hydroxymanool, manoyl oxide and ent-abietic acid. In addition, the new labdane diterpene (+)-18-tigloyloxymanool and four new ent-abietanes were obtained.
