Defensive Molecules Momilactones A and B: Function, Biosynthesis, Induction and Occurrence

open access: yesToxins, 2023
Labdane-related diterpenoids, momilactones A and B were isolated and identified in rice husks in 1973 and later found in rice leaves, straws, roots, root exudate, other several Poaceae species and the moss species Calohypnum plumiforme.

Further Studies on Structure-Cardiac Activity Relationships of Diterpenoid Alkaloids

open access: yesNatural Product Communications, 2015
The cardiac effect of thirty-eight diterpenoid alkaloids was evaluated on the isolated bullfrog heart model. Among them, twelve compounds exhibited appreciable cardiac activity, with compounds 3 and 35 being more active than the reference drug lanatoside.

Transcription factors and molecular markers revealed asymmetric contributions between allotetraploid Upland cotton and its two diploid ancestors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Three Gossypium species have been used to breed cotton as they vary in their fiber production and resistance to stresses. Transcription factors (TFs) mostly are present in different copies or isoforms by which they conduct their regulation.

Magnesiate addition/ring-expansion strategy to access the 6-7-6 tricyclic core of hetisine-type C20-diterpenoid alkaloids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A synthetic strategy to access the fused 6–7–6 tricyclic core of hetisine-type C20-diterpenoid alkaloids is reported. This strategy employs a Diels–Alder cycloaddition to assemble a fused bicyclic anhydride intermediate, which is elaborated to a vinyl ...
