Diuretic Intensity Score and Mortality in Hospitalized Heart Failure Patients: A Multicenter Propensity‐Matched Analysis

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 49, Issue 6, June 2026.
In two independent cohorts of 17 826 hospitalized heart failure patients (MIMIC‐IV and a Chinese database), a higher Diuretic Intensity Score was associated with lower 28‐ and 90‐day all‐cause mortality. These findings are hypothesis‐generating and warrant validation in prospective randomized trials.

Effects of vasopressin administration on diuresis of water immersion in normal humans

open access: yes, 1981
Although previous studies have demonstrated that water immersion to the neck (NI) results in a significant diuresis, the mechanisms are incompletely delineated.

Analysis of Potential Q-Markers for Salt-Processed Alismatis Rhizoma in Diuresis Based on Fingerprinting Technology and Network Analysis

open access: yesCurrent Issues in Molecular Biology
Introduction: The ability of salt-processed Alismatis Rhizoma (SAR) (Alisma plantago-aquqtica L.) to nourish Yin and promote urination is stronger than that of Alismatis Rhizoma (AR).

Washout of renal countercurrent Na gradient by osmotic diuresis

open access: yes, 1959
The antidiuretic hormone regulates the ability of the kidney to concentrate urine. There are two theories as to the nature of the renal concentrating mechanism: 1) the existence of an active water pump in a distal area which removes free water from the ...

What Are the Limitations of Measuring Bladder Compliance, As the Sole Indicator of Future Risk to the Upper Urinary Tract and Renal Function? ICI‐RS 2025

open access: yesNeurourology and Urodynamics, Volume 45, Issue 5, Page 861-868, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Maintenance of bladder filling and urinary storage at low intravesical pressures is fundamental to minimizing risk to the upper urinary tract. Bladder compliance describes the relationship between the bladder volume and the change in detrusor pressure during the filling phase of urodynamics.

Mechanism of exaggerated diuresis in spontaneously hypertensive rats

open access: yes, 1978
The mechanism of exaggerated diuresis and natriuresis was studied in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) by renal clearance and micropuncture techniques.

From Data to Decisions: How Machine Learning and Generative Artificial Intelligence Are Redefining Precision Medicine in Kidney Transplantation

open access: yesOrgan Medicine, Volume 3, Issue 2, Page 102-118, June 2026.
This review evaluates how machine learning, multimodal integration, and generative AI optimize kidney transplant outcomes. These tools enable superior prediction and personalized therapy but face hurdles in data volume, generalizability, and ethics. Future clinical adoption depends on continued innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration to overcome

Abnormal pressure-diuresis-natriuresis response in spontaneously hypertensive rats

open access: yes, 1985
The renal responses to changes in perfusion pressure (RPP) were studied in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) and Wistar-Kyoto rats (WKY) to determine whether an abnormality in the pressure-diuresis phenomenon could be involved in the resetting of ...
