PARPi Combining Nanoparticle LIN28B siRNA for the Management of Malignant Ascites
This study demonstrates that co‐inhibition of LIN28B and PARP using siLin28b/DSSP@lip‐PEG‐FA nanoparticles in combination with the PARP inhibitor BMN673 effectively suppresses the accumulation of malignant ascites associated with advanced cancers.

This retrospective study explored the potential impact of renin–angiotensin system inhibitors (RASIs) on renal function during the ileostomy period in patients undergoing rectal cancer surgery. RASI use was associated with early postoperative renal impairment, and relatively slow recovery of renal function was observed until stoma closure.

Establishment of a novel cynomolgus monkey model of hyperuricemia
We established a novel hyperuricemia model in cynomolgus monkeys (A) via oral administration of potassium oxonate, hydrochlorothiazide, and adenine mixed in fruits and vegetables. This model (B) targets uric acid synthesis and enzymatic degradation, and (C) regulates renal and intestinal excretion, thereby stably elevating serum uric acid and serving ...

Thiazide diuretics increase salt and water excretion primarily by inhibiting mechanisms for electroneutral sodium and chloride transport by distal convoluted tubule cells. This might be termed the ‘specific’ effect of this class of diuretics and accounts for the ‘chlorouretic’ effectiveness of the drug.
