The Health service journal, 2003Neglecting diversity and equality issues in recruitment and people development can be dangerous, both in legal and human costs. Collating material into a training pack, which could be delivered by non-experts, helped spread best practice. Launching the material with a conference raised its profile and helped ensure that it would be used well.
