User diversity in public libraries
Introduction. Public libraries shall provide services to the whole population. Consequently, librarians must relate to all types of user diversity where user diversity includes variations in functional level, gender identity, and mental health.

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

Antenna-Pattern Diversity Versus Space Diversity for Use at Handhelds
This paper investigates diversity for dual-antenna systems operating in indoor environments. First, an approximated equation of the diversity gain is derived for different combining techniques. These theoretical results show that the two-term approximation, as generally used in the literature , is too rough an estimate.

Liver organoids: modelling complexity in homeostasis and disease
Studying liver in vitro has been challenging because simple 2D cell cultures fail to capture liver's cellular and architectural complexity. To bridge this gap, scientists increasingly use organoids, 3D liver models which better mimic liver composition and function. This review examines recent advances in liver organoid complexity and realism, discusses

Des plantes et des jardiniers dans la ville. Socio-écologie des jardins familiaux
Allotment gardens are an ideal place to analyse the links between plant diversity and social diversity. This study aims to characterise the cultivated and spontaneous plant diversity of allotments and to analyse its links with the socio-demographic ...

Standardization as spaces of diversity was introduced by Loconto and Demortain (2017) to advance the sociology of standards. Their analytical framework for studying standardization processes in interactive spaces is mobilized and expanded upon in this ...

This review focuses on the role of autophagy and mitophagy in maintaining pancreatic β‐cell function and homeostasis. We discuss how genetic defects affecting these pathways contribute to the development of type 1, type 2, monogenic, and gestational diabetes. We further explore their potential as therapeutic targets. Created in BioRender.

Constant Distortion Embeddings of Symmetric Diversities
Diversities are like metric spaces, except that every finite subset, instead of just every pair of points, is assigned a value. Just as there is a theory of minimal distortion embeddings of fiite metric spaces into L1, there is a similar, yet undeveloped,

Constant envelope signal space diversity
We propose a nonlinear signal space diversity (SSD) precoding techniquethat produces transmit signals that have constant envelope(CE) in discrete time, resulting in low peak-to-average power ratio( ...
