Las complicaciones asociadas a un divertículo de Meckel se presentan en la mayoría de los casos en pacientes pediátricos, no obstante, un adulto puede padecerlas de forma rara e inusual, presentando o no sintomatología. Puede iniciar en determinados casos con un cuadro de abdomen agudo.
