Introducción: el divertículo de Meckel es una malformación congénita del tracto gastrointestinal. Se presenta en el 1% de la población general. Es más frecuente en el sexo masculino. El divertículo de Meckel puede cursar asintomático y conocerse en un hallazgo intraoperatorio, como ocurre en cerca del 80% de los pacientes.
