Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Avicenna and Aquinas on the Negative Approach to the Attributes of God [PDF]

open access: yesحکمت اسرا, 2016
Negative approach to speaking of divine attributes is an age-old discussion and has two main categories: the negation and silence and the negative-positive way. The negative-positive way has various interpretations and meanings.

Divine attributes between the Mu'tazilah and the front Capacity is a model

open access: yesالأستاذ, 2018
The question of divine attributes is one of the important issues studied by the two great schools (the Imamite and the Mu'tazid). The second topic is the essence of the difference between the imamate and the isolationist, and the third is the ...

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

DIALEKTIKA SIFAT DAN MAHIYAH TUHAN: Analisis Tahafut At-Tahafut Karya Ibnu Rusyd

open access: yesEl-Fikr
This study examines the dynamics of the debate concerning the divine attributes and mahiyah (essence) of God in Tahāfut al-Tahāfut by Ibn Rushd as a response to al-Ghazālī’s critique in Tahāfut al-Falāsifah. The research employs a descriptive-analytical

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

The Adaption of the Idea of Divine Message in Both Old and New Testamnets and the Holy Quran [PDF]

open access: yesComparative Theology, 2012

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an
