The short DMTA dissipation test [PDF]
The CPT is used either in a continuous advance mode or in a rheological testing mode. Both periods are present in the short local side friction and in the short cone resistance dissipation tests made in the technical breaks of continuous penetration of ...

Simulating the formation of bread crust in a DMTA rheometer
Water evaporates very fast from the surface layers of dough, enhanced by high heating rates at the beginning of baking. The rheological properties of the surface layers play an important role during the baking process, especially in local and overall expansion and water loss.

One-pot synthesis of DMTA-analogous SiBNC preceramic polymer
A one-pot synthesis approach for a SiBNC precursor polymer is presented. With respect to composition and structure it is similar to the polymer as produced from the known single-source precursor DMTA (dichloroboryl methyl trichlorosilyl amine), as confirmed by FTIR spectroscopy.

A study of wood adhesion and interactions using DMTA
The aim of the work presented in this thesis was to investigate whether the adhesion of glues and lacquers to wood could be studied using dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA). This method has been widely used to study interactions in polymer blends, copolymers and in polymeric composites but very few investigations had been done on solid wood ...

Interactions in Nanosilica‐Polyurethane Composites Evidenced by Plate‐Plate Rheology and DMTA
AbstractFumed nanosilicas with different degree of silanization were used to obtain nanosilica‐polyurethane (TPU) composites to modify their rheological and mechanical properties. The higher the silanol content of the nanosilica, the higher the storage modulus and the thermal stability of the silica‐TPU composite.

Investigations on natural silks using dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA)
This thesis examines the dynamic mechanical properties of natural silk fibres, mainly from silkworm species Bombyx mori (B. mori) and spider species Nephila edulis, using dynamic mechanical thermal analysis, DMTA. The aim is not only to provide novel data on mechanical properties of silk, but also to relate these properties to the structure and ...

Thermal and energy analysis of DMTA tests
<p>This dataset corresponds to the Chrysochoos and Arnould (2022) paper (available at https://hal.archives-ouvertes.fr/hal-03697346/) on the measurements of small temperature variations of samples undergoing cyclic loadings during mechanical ...

Dental wear analyses are classically applied to mammals because they have evolved heterodont dentitions for sophisticated mastication. Recently, several studies have shown a correlation between pre-assigned and analytically inferred diet preferences in ...

Recently, dental microwear texture analysis (DMTA) has been applied to various kinds of vertebrates to infer dietary preference. More data are needed on inter-microscope variability to assure the objectivity and repeatability of this method.
