DMTA studies of polymer blends and compatibility

open access: yesPolymer Testing, 1988
Abstract Some aspects of the testing of polymer blends by Dynamic Mechanical Thermal Analysis (DMTA) are reported. Compatibility of the blend components, which has a major influence on physical properties, can be well characterised. Data are presented for various types of blends, both compatible and incompatible.

The effects of external Mn2+ concentration on hyphal morphology and citric acid production are mediated primarily by the NRAMP-family transporter DmtA in Aspergillus niger

open access: yesMicrobial Cell Factories, 2020
Background Citric acid, a commodity product of industrial biotechnology, is produced by fermentation of the filamentous fungus Aspergillus niger. A requirement for high-yield citric acid production is keeping the concentration of Mn2+ ions in the medium ...

Dietary ecology of the extinct cave bear: Evidence of omnivory as inferred from dental microwear textures [PDF]

open access: yesActa Palaeontologica Polonica, 2016
The diet of the extinct European cave bear, Ursus spelaeus, has widely been debated. Diverging from the extant brown bear (Ursus arctos) approximately 1.2 million years ago, the cave bear is one of the most ubiquitous fossil bears occurring in Europe ...

DMTA dataset. Detailed list of individual teeth from Cova de la Guineu

open access: yes, 2021
Detailed list of individual teeth (N = 69) examined in this study. All teeth are lower left second molars (LLM2). DMTA analysis were performed on buccal (B), occlusal (O) or both (BO) enamel surfaces.

Dynamic Mechanical Freezing Points of Cosmetic O/W Emulsions and Their Stability at Low Temperatures

open access: yesApplied Rheology, 2000
To develop cosmetic products quickly and effectively, developers need reliable test methods for evaluating product stability. Phenomena that determine the stability of cosmetic emulsions include phase transitions taking place in the relevant application ...

Tooth Microwear Texture in the Eastern Atlantic Harbour Seals (Phoca vitulina vitulina) of the German Wadden Sea and Its Implications for Long Term Dietary and Ecosystem Changes

open access: yesFrontiers in Ecology and Evolution, 2021
Marine mammals are increasingly threatened in their habitat by various anthropogenic impacts. This is particularly evident in prey abundance. Understanding the dietary strategies of marine mammal populations can help predict implications for their future

DMTA studies of the effect of storage time on the curing process of sheet moulding compound [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
The application of the dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) test method in the study of the effect of storage time on the curing process of sheet moulding compound (SMC) is discussed.
