SELEKSI PRIMER RAPD UNTUK KETAHANAN TERHADAP CMV: PENGGUNAAN STRATEGI BSA (BULK SEGREGANT ANALYSIS) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
RApD primers selection have to be done in order to identi$ RAPD markels]inkage with CMV resistance on hot pepper (Capsicum sp). The objective of this research was to identifr RAPD markers polymorphic with CMV resisiance through bulk segregant analysis ...

Usefulness of microsatellite loci for differentiating between Dibothriocephalus dendriticus and Dibothriocephalus ditremus (Cestoda: Diphyllobothriidea)

open access: yesParasite
Differentiating between two diphyllobothriid tapeworms Dibothriocephalus dendriticus and Dibothriocephalus ditremus is complicated due to their morphological plasticity, intraspecific variability and a wide range of common hosts.

Dose‐dependent induction of epithelial‐mesenchymal transition in 3D melanoma models by non‐thermal plasma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Non‐thermal plasma treatment of melanoma cells induced epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in a dose‐dependent fashion. This report highlights the critical need to further investigate potential adverse effects of non‐thermal plasma for cancer therapy and to optimize treatment parameters for clinical translation. Despite the promising results of non‐

A nucleotide‐independent, pan‐RAS‐targeted DARPin elicits anti‐tumor activity in a multimodal manner

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We report a Designed Ankyrin Repeat Protein that binds and inhibits RAS proteins, which serve as central cell signaling hubs and are essential for the progression of many cancers. Its unique feature is that it does not discriminate between different RAS isoforms or mutations and is capable of binding to RAS in both its active (GTP‐bound) and inactive ...

No evidence for oncogenic mutations in guanine nucleotide-binding proteins of human adrenocortical neoplasms [PDF]

open access: yes, 1933
G-Proteins are membrane-bound heterotrimeric polypeptides that couple receptor signals to second messenger systems such as cAMP. Recently, point mutations at 2 codons of the highly preserved alpha-chain of Gs, the adenyl cyclase-stimulating G-protein ...

Unraveling LINE‐1 retrotransposition in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel RetroTest method allows the detection of L1 activation in clinical samples with low DNA input, providing global L1 activity and the identification of the L1 source element. We applied RetroTest to a real‐world cohort of HNSCC patients where we reported an early L1 activation, with more than 60% of T1 patients showing L1 activity.

Contribuição dos primers obtidos de subunidades do RNA ribossômico para discriminação entre Babesia bigemina e Babesia bovis por PCR [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Six pairs of species-specific primers were designed from the alignment of the sequences of the SS rRNA gene obtained from the Genbank database for Babesia bigemina (accession number X59604) and for B. bovis (accession number U06105).
