Effect of Approximal Tooth Surface Morphology on the Formation of Overhang Filling of 2nd Class

open access: yesČeská Stomatologie a Praktické Zubní Lékařství, 2006
A relationship between approximal tooth surface morphology and creation of overhang filling is displayed. After drilling of approximal cavity, the gingival cavity margin was evaluated as concave or non-concave.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Corrosion Resistance of Titanium in Dentistry Applications

open access: yesČeská Stomatologie a Praktické Zubní Lékařství, 2005
Titanium and its alloys is used in dentistry for excellent mechanical and the physical characteristics with high corrosion resistance and it seem to be one of the most appropriate materials for dental use at all.

Leaching of organic nitrogen and carbon after cultivating grass-clover pastures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Leaching of organic nitrogen (DON) and carbon (DOC) was measured after cultivating grass-clover of different age. It was found that DON and escpecially DOC was lost in considerable amounts, and that the leaching depends upon crop and management.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Our Experience with Arthroscopy of Temporomandibular Joint

open access: yesČeská Stomatologie a Praktické Zubní Lékařství, 2006
Arthroscopy of temporomandibular joint may be considered as a surgical, minimally invasive diagnostic-therapeutic method, which successfully bridges the gap between the conservative therapy of TMP and a surgical intervention on the open joint. It enables

Temozolomide combined with irinotecan regresses a cisplatinum-resistant relapsed osteosarcoma in a patient-derived orthotopic xenograft (PDOX) precision-oncology mouse model. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Relapsed osteosarcoma is a recalcitrant tumor. A patient's cisplatinum (CDDP)-resistant relapsed osteosarcoma lung metastasis was previously established orthotopically in the distal femur of mice to establish a patient-derived orthotopic xenograft (PDOX)

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
