Deriving Workflow Privacy Patterns from Legal Documents [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Computer Science and Information Systems, 2019
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has strengthened the importance of data privacy and protection for enterprises offering their services in the EU. An important part of intensified efforts towards better privacy protection is enterprise workflow (re)design.

RaMBat: Accurate identification of medulloblastoma subtypes from diverse data sources with severe batch effects

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

Transparent Digital Governance: A Blockchain-Based Workflow Audit Application

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Digital governance requires transparent, auditable, and secure mechanisms for document circulation across public institutions. Existing workflow management and e-government systems, especially in the legislative field, often lack end-to-end auditability,

Document Management vs. Knowledge Management [PDF]

open access: yesInformatică economică, 2008
Most large organizations have been investing in various disconnected management technologies during the past few years. Efforts to improve management have been especially noticeable over the last 18-24 months, as organizations try to tame the chaos ...

The MPO system for automatic workflow documentation [PDF]

open access: yesFusion Engineering and Design, 2016
Abstract Data from large-scale experiments and extreme-scale computing is expensive to produce and may be used for critical applications. However, it is not the mere existence of data that is important, but our ability to make use of it. Experience has shown that when metadata is better organized and more complete, the underlying data becomes more ...

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Tracking sub-page components in document workflows [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the eighth ACM symposium on Document engineering, 2008
Documents go through numerous transformations and intermediate formats as they are processed, in a workflow, from abstract markup into final printable form. Unfortunately, it is common to find that ideas about document components, which might exist in the source code for the document, become completely lost within an amorphous, unstructured, page of ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.
