Investigation of the Stress Intensity Factor in Heterogeneous Materials Based on the Postprocessing Routine of Commercial Finite Element Software

open access: yesApplied Sciences
An improved interaction integral method has been proposed for heterogeneous materials with complex interfaces based on the postprocessing routine of commercial finite element software.

A boundary value problem for a third order hyperbolic equation with degeneration of order inside the domain

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2017
In this paper we study the boundary value problem for a degenerating third order equation of hyperbolic type in a mixed domain. The equation under consideration in the positive part of the domain coincides with the Hallaire equation, which is a ...

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

A Cauchy integral method to solve the 2D Dirichlet and Neumann problems for irregular simply-connected domains

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Физико-математические науки, 2018
A method for construction of solutions to the continuous approximate 2D Dirichlet and Neumann problems in the arbitrary simply-connected domain with a smooth boundary has been discussed.

Consensus of Multi-Integral Fractional-Order Multiagent Systems with Nonuniform Time-Delays

open access: yesComplexity, 2018
Consensus of fractional-order multiagent systems (FOMASs) with single integral has been wildly studied. However, the dynamics with multiple integral (especially double integral to sextuple integral) also exist in FOMASs, and they are rarely studied at ...

Full-wave method for the analysis of the radiation characteristics of a VLF source in the atmosphere

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2019
The basis of the full-wave method is the propagation matrix method and a plane wave expansion, which is generally used for the analysis of radiation problems in layered media. The radiation field in the spatial domain is represented as an integral in the

Analytic and numerical solutions for linear and nonlinear multidimensional wave equations

open access: yesArab Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, 2020
We develop three reliable iterative methods for solving the nonlinear 1D, 2D and 3D second-order wave equation and compare the results with a discretization-based solver.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...
