DETERMINATION OF OVULATION TIME IN GAYO MARES BASED ON IMAGE OF PREOVULATORY FOLLICLE GROWTH

open access: yesJurnal Kedokteran Hewan, 2023
This study aimed to obtain the ultrasound image of preovulatory follicle growth in gayo mares to predict the ovulation time. This study used three Gayo mares and one gayo stallion for teaser aged 5-10 years and weighed 200-250 kg.

Managing the dominant follicle in high-producing dairy cows [PDF]

open access: yesBioscientifica Proceedings, 2010
Reduced reproductive efficiency has been reported in high-producing dairy cows. Sources of reproductive inefficiency include decreased expression of estrus, increased diameter of the ovulatory follicle and reduced fertility when cows are inseminated after estrus, increased incidence of double ovulation and twinning, and increased pregnancy loss.

Follicular Dynamics in Crossbred cows undergoing prostaglandin induced luteolysis [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinary World, 2008
Growth and regression of ovarian follicles were studied in crossbred cows (n=6), induced with prostaglandin (PGF2 alpha) analogue for luteolysis. After PGF2 alpha treatment, four cows (Group A) ovulated from dominant follicle of first follicular wave and

Mechanisms regulating follicular development and selection of the dominant follicle [PDF]

open access: yesBioscientifica Proceedings, 2019
Reproductive function is an integrated process encompassing both extra-ovarian signals, such as gonadotrophins, and intrafollicular factors, such as locally produced growth factors. Initiation of primordial follicle growth and the early stages of folliculogenesis can occur without gonadotrophins.

Concentração plasmática de progesterona em novilhas receptoras submetidas à administração de rbST, GnRH ou hCG no quinto dia do ciclo estral Plasma progesterone concentration in recipient heifers submitted to administration of rbST, GnRH or hCG on day five of the estrous cycle

The role of intra-ovarian interactions in the regulation of follicle dominance [PDF]

open access: yesHuman Reproduction Update, 1999
The processes that precisely control the selection of ovulatory follicles from a growing cohort are poorly understood. This reduction in follicle number occurs through several phases of selection, consequently we limit the use of the term 'selection' to the first major reduction of growing follicles, at the pre- to early antral stage. The final process

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Spatial and single‐nuclei transcriptomics reveals idiosyncratic and generic patterns in papillary and anaplastic thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

Spatial biology in cancer epigenetics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Spatial epigenomics combines molecular profiling with tissue architecture to reveal how gene regulation is organized within intact tissues. In cancer, these technologies uncover the mechanisms driving tumor heterogeneity and microenvironmental interactions, opening new opportunities for biomarker discovery and precision medicine.

The importance of infertility duration and follicle size according to pregnancy success in women undergoing ovulation induction with gonadotropins and intrauterine insemination

open access: yesJournal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, 2023
In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effect of infertility duration and dominant follicle size measured on the day of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) administration on pregnancy rates in infertile women undergoing ovulation induction (OI) with ...
