New Domino Reactions with Sultones

Synlett, 2009
Hydroxyl-containing α,β-unsaturated δ-sultones undergo a diastereoselective conjugate reduction by Red-Al. This transformation can be extended to a domino elimination/1,4-hydride addition of a tricyclic sultone substrate that is readily available via intramolecular Diels―Alder reaction.

Microwave-Assisted Domino Cyclization Reactions

Current Microwave Chemistry, 2021
Background: Microwave-assisted domino cyclization reactions have attracted great interest for researchers to synthesize complex compounds in shorter times with increased yields. The domino reactions were used in various synthetic approaches and many drug deliveries in medicinal chemistry with microwave-assisted approaches.

Nickel-Catalyzed Intermolecular Domino Reactions

Accounts of Chemical Research, 2000
Nickel-catalyzed multiple-component reactions are a promising new type of domino reaction. For instance, a variety of starting materials such as alkenes, alkynes, and unsaturated carbonyl compounds can be connected with high selectivity under reasonably mild conditions.

Alternative Reaction Pathways in Domino Reactions of Hydrazinediidozirconium Complexes with Alkynes

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2012
AbstractReaction of [Zr{(NAr)2Npy}(NMe2)2] (Ar=3,5‐xylyl: 2 a, mesityl: 2 b) with one or two molar equivalents of 1,1‐diphenylhydrazine gave the mixed amido/hydrazido(1−) complex [Zr{(NMes)2Npy}(HNNPh2)(NMe2)] (3), the bis‐hydrazido complex [Zr{(NMes)2Npy}(HNNPh2)2] (4), and, in the presence of excess 4‐dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP), hexacoordinate ...

Gold-Catalyzed Domino Reactions

2014
Gold-catalyzed reactions have appeared to be highly attractive tools for chemists to promote novel transformations to prepare elaborated structures from simple starting materials. This chapter presents selected and original examples of domino processes in the presence of gold catalysts, highlighting reports implying hydration, hydroxylation, and ...

An Easy Synthetic Approach to Pyridoporphyrins by Domino Reactions

Organic Letters, 2007
Beta-amino-meso-tetraarylporphyrins react with cyclic enol ethers to yield pyrido[2,3-b]porphyrins bearing two vicinal hydroxyalkyl groups. These reactions are catalyzed by lanthanum triflate and occur under mild conditions. Esterification of the hydroxyalkyl groups with succinic anhydride and dodecanoyl chloride afforded the corresponding esters in ...

N‐Heterocyclic Carbene Catalyzed Domino Reactions

Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2011
AbstractWhile organocatalyzed domino reactions or “organocascade catalysis” developed into an important tool in synthetic chemistry during the past decade, the utility of N‐heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) as catalysts in domino reactions has only received growing attention in the past three years.
