Prediction of Wind Turbine's Doppler Frequency Shifts

2020 New Trends in Signal Processing (NTSP), 2020
This article deals with the prediction of the dominant Doppler frequency shifts of the wind turbine blades. Spread-spectrum of the Doppler frequency shifts of wind turbine blades can mask the radar targets. Current filtering methods are designed to filter only the complete radar resolution cells in places where wind turbines are located. However, these

Photonic Radio Frequency Memory with Controlled Doppler Frequency Shift

2019 International Topical Meeting on Microwave Photonics (MWP), 2019
A photonic Radio Frequency (RF) memory with coherent frequency shift and time gated amplifying recirculating delay line is proposed. It can simultaneously control Doppler frequency shift (DFS) and RF storage time. The coherent frequency shift is realized by the beat between the carrier with acoustic-optic modulator (AOM) frequency shift and sideband ...

Parameter Estimation Based on Doppler Frequency Shifts

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1987
An acoustic source generates an amplitude-modulated tone, with Doppler variations due to the relative motion between source andreceiver. A method is presented for real-time estimation of tone restfrequency and minimal distance between source and receiver, usingdigital signal processing techniques.

Doppler frequency shift of sound apparatus

The Physics Teacher, 2011
A large 1-m diameter rotary table with a semicircular waveguide along its periphery is the basis of the Doppler frequency shift of sound apparatus. A “button” speaker is attached to the outer edge of the rotary table and a microphone pickup is positioned on the wall of the waveguide at its midpoint.

Atomic Frequency Standard Relativistic Doppler Shift Experiment

28th Annual Symposium on Frequency Control, 1974
An experiment has been performed to measure possible space anisotropy as it would effect the frequency of a cesium atomic beam standard clock in a laboratory on earth due to motion relative to external coordinate frames. The cesium frequency was measured as a function of orientation with respect to an atomic hydrogen maser standard.

Frequency Detuning Control by Doppler Shift

2011
In this work, a control strategy for ship parametric roll resonance is developed by changing the frequency of the parametric excitation. This is achieved by varying the ship’s forward speed. This changes the perceived frequency of the waves, known as the encounter frequency (and thus the frequency of parametric excitation), via Doppler shift.

Comparison of methods for turbulence Doppler frequency shift calculation in Doppler reflectometer

Plasma Science and Technology, 2023
Abstract The Doppler reflectometer (DR), a powerful diagnostic for the plasma perpendicular velocity (u ⊥) and turbulence measurement, has been widely used in various fusion devices. Many efforts have been put into extracting the Doppler shift from the DR signal. There are several commonly used methods for Doppler shift

Laser Doppler velocimeter with optical frequency shifting

Optics & Laser Technology, 1973
Abstract A bi-directional laser Doppler velocimeter utilizing optical frequency shifting has been developed. Optical frequency shifting is achieved by using a rotating radial grating. A high diffraction efficiency permits the system to be used in the fringe mode.

Dynamic non-uniform phase shift measurement via Doppler frequency shift in vortex interferometer

Optics Letters, 2023
A vortex beam interferometer based on Doppler frequency shift is proposed to retrieve the dynamic non-uniform phase shift from the petal-like fringes produced by the coaxial superposition of high-order conjugated Laguerre–Gaussian modes. Unlike the uniform phase shift measurement in which the petal-like fringes rotate as a whole, the fringes due to the
