Ventricular dyssynchrony as a cause of structural disease in the heart of Dorper sheep
Ventricular dyssynchrony is a disturbance of the normal, organized electromechanical coupling of the two ventricles. This condition has many causes, such as left bundle branch block, ventricular preexcitation, right ventricular pacing and right ventricular premature ventricular complexes (PVCs).

We constructed the first multi‐tissue epigenome atlas in sheep, identifying a total of 753,723 nonredundant functional elements, with over 60% being novel. Our findings highlight tissue‐specific functional elements, particularly those related to sensory abilities and immune response, which are highly enriched in genomic regions influenced by ...

The heart remembers : observations of cardiac memory in the Dorper sheep heart
Memory is a property common to a diverse range of tissues. Cardiac memory has been demonstrated in the human, dog, rat and rabbit. This is a peculiar phenomenon, reflected in the T wave of the electrocardiogram. The heart is able to remember periods of alterations in the sequence of ventricular activation and once there is a return to a normal ...

Dorper és dorper keresztezett bárányok teljesítményvizsgálata
Kísérletemben arra kerestem a választ, hogy milyen mértékben különböznek az azonos környezetben, azonos takarmányozási viszonyok között tartott különböző genotípusú bárányok teljesítményei (átlagos báránykori testtömeggyarapodás, hizlalás alatti ...

Oesophageal obstruction in Dorper ewes caused by impaction of a pelleted ration
Two adult Dorper ewes developed an oesophageal obstruction (choke) by consuming a pelleted ration. The history, clinical signs and method of treatment were recorded in each case. One case was treated surgically via rumenotomy and the other conservatively. Both ewes recovered uneventfully and no recurrence was observed. Reasons for the compaction of the

AUTOMATIC CONCENTRATE DISTRIBUTION FOR FATTENING OF ROMANOV × DORPER LAMBS
The aim of this research was to study the possibility of using automatic concentrate feeding stations in fattening of lambs. Ten Romanov × Dorper weaned male lambs (initial live weight 21.0 ± 0.86 kg) for fattening were used. Lambs were kept indoors in separate pen and research was carried out in production conditions.

The performance of the Dorper and Dorper X Red Maasai sheep
Data on 1199 lambs collected over a 10 year period (1978 to 1987) on Dorper and Dorper X Red Maasai sheep at Ol'Magogo were used in this study. Lamb traits studied were weights from birth to yearling and absolute growth rates between adjacent stages of ...
