The effects of A. mollissimus (AM) supplementation on methane (CH4) production, volatile fatty acids, animal performance and nitro compound presence in blood were evaluated through two experiments. Results showed an CH4 reduction by up to 60%. No adverse effects on animal performance and no detectable nitro compound in plasma were reported.

Dermatosparaxis in White Dorper sheep.
A diagnosis of dermatosparaxis in a lamb with clinical signs of extreme skin fragility was based on the gross changes as well as on light and scanning electron microscopical observations. Similar cases had occurred on the same farm during the previous year.
