Vascularization of the muscles of the shoulder joint of a Dorper sheep
Hippology and Veterinary Sciences, 2023The angioarchitecture of the intraorgan arterial bed of the studied muscles of the thoracic limb of the Dorper sheep is characterized by a modular type of structure. Performance of Dorper sheep under an accelerated lambing system
Small Ruminant Research, 1992Abstract Lambing records from 1984 to 1989 comprising 699 ewe lambing years were used. Ewes were exposed to three fixed 30-d joining periods/yr to lamb during February/March (first season), June/July (second season) and October/November (third season). Number of ewes lambed/ewes joined/yr was 0.85, and the number of lambs born/ewe joined/yr was 1.21.

Anatomical and topographical features of the area of pelvic bones of dorper sheep
International bulletin of Veterinary Medicine, 2020Movement is a characteristic and in-herented property of the animal organism. Without the implementation of musculoskel-etal work, it becomes impossible for the animal to move in the environment, search for food, protect themselve and procreate. This work in the body is performed by the musculoskeletal system, which accounts for most of the body weight.

A New Gene Source on Meat Sheep in Turkey: Dorper
2014Turkey’s topography and sociocultural make up is very suited to sheep and goat production. Lamb is also the preferred red meat option in most parts of Turkey. Although there are many elements to support lamb production, Turkey’s red meat production and consequently consumption (9kg/capita/year) is far below those of other developed countries.
