Patient dose measurement and dose reduction in chest radiography [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Technology and Radiation Protection, 2014
Investigations presented in this paper represent the first estimation of patient doses in chest radiography in Montenegro. In the initial stage of our study, we measured the entrance surface air kerma and kerma area product for chest radiography

Comparison on the Dosimetry of TLD and PLD by Dose Area Product

open access: yesThe Journal of the Korea Contents Association, 2012
The results of analyzing the difference between performances of individual dosimeters on this research subjecting the PLD and TLD, which are the official personal dosimeters, through dosimetry are as follows. After scanning the integral dose using an automatic scanner, the values of two devices that went through dose adjustment process had a ...

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Scatter dose estimation based on dose–area product and the specification of radiation barriers

open access: yesThe British Journal of Radiology, 1996
Abstract Scatter dose as a function of dose–area product (DAP) has been studied over a range of tube potentials and scattering angles. Data are presented to permit the calculation of scatter dose from DAP at distances of 1 m or more from the patient.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Optimization of adult patient doses by determining the entrance surface dose and dose area product (DAP) in frequently performed examinations at the CHR of Daloa, Cote d’Ivoire

open access: yesThe Egyptian Journal of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine
Background Entrance surface dose (ESD) and dose area product (DAP) are two standard metrics used to quantify patient radiation exposure during radiological procedures.
