Enhancement of Opioid-Mediated Analgesia\ud by Ingestion of Amniotic Fluid:\ud Onset Latency and Duration [PDF]
Ingestion of placenta and amniotic fluid has been shown to enhance opioid-mediated analgesia produced by morphine injection, footshock, vaginal/cervical stimulation, and during late pregnancy in rats.

Granulocyte-colony-stimulating factor mobilizes bone marrow stem cells in patients with subacute ischemic stroke: the Stem Cell Trial of Recovery EnhanceMent After Stroke (STEMS) Pilot Randomized, Controlled Trial (ISRCTN 16784092) [PDF]
Background and Purpose - Loss of motor function is common after stroke and leads to significant chronic disability. Stem cells are capable of self-renewal and of differentiating into multiple cell types, including neurones, glia, and vascular cells.

Enhanced Low Dose Rate Sensitivity at Ultra-Low Dose Rates [PDF]
We have presented results of ultra-low dose rate irradiations (< or = 10 mrad(Si)/s) for a variety of radiation hardened and commercial linear bipolar devices. We observed low dose rate enhancement factors exceeding 1.5 in several parts.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Tumor dose enhancement by nanoparticles during high dose rate 192 Ir brachytherapy
The present study aims to evaluate and compare the dose enhancement factor (DEF) of tumor injected with different nanoparticles (NPs) around high dose rate (HDR) (192)Ir brachytherapy source.Monte Carlo calculations were performed with MCNPX code to determine the DEF caused by in tumor injected with (79)Au, (64)Gd, (26)Fe, and (22)Ti NPs during HDR ...
