Synthetic data were analyzed to determine the most cost-effective tomographic monitoring system for a geologic carbon sequestration injection site. Double-difference tomographic inversion was performed on 125 synthetic data sets: five stages of CO2 plume growth, five seismic event regions, and five geophone arrays.

We performed a series of tests for passive seismic tomography with data from Paralana, a new Enhanced Geothermal System (EGS) located in South Australia. An injection well was drilled at Paralana in 2009 into a sedimentary basin down to a high heat-producing basement at ~4000 m depth.

Summary To improve the accuracy of microseismic event location, we developed a double-difference tomographic method for determining the hypocenters and the anisotropy of the earth model. These events are selected from a microseismic dataset monitoring a Middle Bakken completion in the Beaver Lodge area, North Dakota. Geophone arrays in four observation

We applied the double-difference tomography method to image the P and S-wave velocity structure of the European Hot Dry Rock geothermal reservoir (also known as the Soultz Enhanced Geothermal System) at Soultz-sous-Forets, France. We used absolute, differential catalog and differential cross-correlation times obtained from the reservoir’s September and
