Double-Diffusive Convection of Synovial (Couple-Stress) Fluid in the Presence of Hall Current Through a Porous Medium

open access: yes, 2018
An investigation made on the effect of Hall currents on double-diffusive convection of a compressible synovial (couple-stress) fluid in the presence of a horizontal magnetic field through a porous layer is considered.

Understanding Operando Water Management in Hydroxide‐Exchange‐Membrane Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Effective water management is vital for high‐performance hydroxide‐exchange‐membrane fuel cells. Using a custom water‐flux station, this study quantifies how membrane thickness, microporous layers, and operating conditions dictate internal water transport.

Cross-Diffusion Effects on the Onset of Double Diffusive Convection in a Couple Stress Fluid Saturated Rotating Anisotropic Porous Layer

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2016
In this paper, we have investigated the onset of double diffusive convection (DDC) in a couple stress fluid saturated rotating anisotropic porous layer in the presence of Soret and Dufour effects using linear stability analyses which is based on the ...

Femtosecond‐Laser Mould Texturing Enables Tunable Biointerfaces in COC Microfluidics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Femtosecond‐laser texturing of injection‐mould inserts enables scalable engineering of biointerfaces in cyclic olefin copolymer microfluidics. Replicated micro‐ and nano‐topographies modulate surface roughness and wettability, leading to texture‐dependent protein adsorption and cell adhesion without chemical post‐processing.

Minimally Invasive Delivery of Optical Nanosensors Using Injectable Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Injectable peptide hydrogels offer a minimally invasive delivery platform for single‐walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT)‐based near‐infrared fluorescent sensors, enabling real‐time measurement of drug concentrations. Encapsulated SWCNTs show a dose‐dependent fluorescence response across physiologically relevant concentrations and retain their fluorescence ...

Global stability for penetrative double-diffusive convection in a porous medium

open access: yes, 2008
Linear and nonlinear stability analyses of penetrative double-diffusive convection in a porous medium are performed. Adopting a standard energy method approach yields a nonlinear threshold which is independent of the salt field.

Tunable 3D‐Printed Static Mixers for Gradient Bioprinting With High Cell Viability

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The fabrication of native tissue‐like structures with gradual transitions in material properties, cell types, and growth factors remains a major challenge in biofabrication due to the lack of suitable methods. Mimicking the hierarchical organization of living tissues is essential for functional models, yet creating gradient, multimaterial ...
