Doubling the Stakes: The Promise of Halide Double Perovskites

Angewandte Chemie - International Edition, 2021
AbstractWhen the stakes are doubled in a wager, a player must correctly place two consecutive bets to win, but the payout is larger. Similarly, two B sites in combination dictate the properties of A2BB′X6 (A=monocation, X=halide) double perovskites.

Double Perovskite Oxide for Chemical Sensors

2020 IEEE International Workshop on Metrology for Industry 4.0 & IoT, 2020
Chemical sensor technology is useful for monitoring environmental pollutions, controlling sustainable production systems and managing cultural heritage. The most promising devices are resistive sensors based on semiconductor metal oxides sensing materials because of their low cost, high sensitivity and quick response.

Superconductivity in a Ru-based double perovskite

Czechoslovak Journal of Physics, 1996
The double perovskite structure Sr2YRuO6 is an antiferromagnetic insulator with TN≈26 K. Partially substituted the Ru ion by Cu the compounds increase their conductivity drastically and eventually become superconducting. More intriguingly is the observation of the coexistence of superconductivity and magnetic order.

Lead‐Free Double Perovskites for Perovskite Solar Cells

Solar RRL, 2019
Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have achieved a high power conversion efficiency (PCE) with a credible certified value over 25%. More efforts have been devoted to the development of stable and ecofriendly perovskite materials. Lead‐free double perovskites (LFDPs) are a noteworthy choice as a photoactive layer because of their favorable photovoltaic (PV ...

Thermochromic Lead‐Free Halide Double Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, 2019
AbstractLead‐free halide double perovskites with diverse electronic structures and optical responses, as well as superior material stability show great promise for a range of optoelectronic applications. However, their large bandgaps limit their applications in the visible light range such as solar cells.

Magnetism in Double Perovskites

Journal of Superconductivity and Novel Magnetism, 2012
Double-perovskite compounds with general formula ABB′O6, have attracted a lot of attention in recent years due to a variety of properties exhibited by them. In this paper, we will review our recent study on a number of double-perovskite compounds, namely La-doped Sr2FeMoO6, Cr-based family of compounds, Sr2CrXO6 (X=W, Re, Os), characterized with ...

Magnetism of the double perovskite Sr2FeMoO6

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2003
Abstract We have completed a systematic study of the magnetization of a single crystal of double perovskite Sr 2 FeMoO 6 over a wide range of temperatures and fields. Near the ordering temperature of 405.0 K, the magnetization is described by critical exponents β =0.50±0.03 and γ =1.20±0.03.
