Dual‐Site Ru Single‐Atoms and RuP Nanoclusters on N, P, and B Co‐Doped Porous Carbon for Efficient Alkaline HER and AEM Water Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ru single atoms and RuP nanoclusters are co‐anchored in N, P, and B co‐doped porous carbon nanospheres via in situ carbonization/phosphidation of a boronate polymer precursor. RuP activates water, while nearby Ru single atoms accelerate H2 formation through H* transfer. The catalyst delivers low overpotential and high durability in alkaline HER and AEM

Effects of Molecular Designs and Double‐Network Morphologies for Bioadhesive Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study establishes molecular‐to‐mesoscale design rules for bioadhesive semiconducting polymers (BASCs). It identifies how side‐chain length, double‐network formation, and film thickness modulate adhesion strength and electronic performance, providing insight into the rational design of intrinsically adhesive semiconductors for stable and efficient ...

Residue behaviors and dietary risk assessment of dinotefuran and its metabolites in Lycium barbarum from farm to fork

open access: yesFood Science and Human Wellness
Lycium barbarum, known as wolfberry or goji berry, is consumed by humans as a medicine and a food homology product. Conventionally grown wolfberry is often treated extensively with pesticides, which could pose a hazard to humans.

Triblock Polymer Engineering Enables Hydration‐Rich, High‐Performance, Fouling‐Resistant Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A molecularly engineered triblock polymer (PHZ) rapidly reorganizes into a hydration‐rich interfacial layer on diverse surfaces, strongly suppressing hydrophobic attraction and fouling. The triblock polymer provides robust energy and steric barriers to oily foulants, enabling high‐performance antifouling at ultralow dosage.

A MODIFIED COLLAPSE TEST FOR GYPSEOUS SOILS

open access: yesDiyala Journal of Engineering Sciences, 2010
Gypseous soil is one of soils which presents a risk for engineering structures, specially with high contamination of gypsum, because of the problem of collapse of soil under the footings, during soaking of these soils with water from any source.

Development of experimental concepts for investigating the strength behavior of fine-grained cohesive soil in the Spacelab/space shuttle zero-g environment [PDF]

open access: yes
Three different sets of tests are proposed for the NASA Spacelab experimental program. The first of tests, designed to measure the true cohesion of several different soils, would be carried out in space through use of a specially prepared direct shear ...

Submerged arc welding of heavy plate [PDF]

open access: yes, 1972
The submerged arc process is particularly suitable for heavy plate welding because of its ability to combine very high deposit rates along with excellent quality. It does these things without the smoke and spatter often accompanying other processes.

Metal–Organic Frameworks for Gaseous Pollutant Management: From Capture to Neutralization and Reutilization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review maps how MOFs can manage hazardous gases by combining adsorption, neutralization, and reutilization, enabling sustainable air‐pollution control. Covering chemical warfare agent simulants, SO2, NOx, NH3, H2S, and volatile organic compounds, it highlights structure‐guided strategies that boost selectivity, water tolerance, and cycling ...
